　　billy: my old friend, how's business?

　　michael: better than usual. thanks for asking.

　　billy: you seem to be in a good mood.

　　michael: i am trying to have a positive attitude toward my job and my life.

　　billy: always look on the bright side, right?

　　michael: right you are, my friend.

　　billy: that which does not kill you makes you stronger.

　　michael: so you are saying, "it's all good."

　　billy: keeping a positive attitude will help you find and keep and enjoy your job. it will also help in other business situations.

　　possitive attitude (乐观的态度)

　　procedure(过程) : list twenty of your best qualities on twenty small pieces of paper. i know that most of you have many good qualities, but limit yourself to the ones related to work in some way. paste these notes all around your apartment, office or home. put them in visible places, or places you often go to: the refrigerator, your computer monitor, your bedroom, your desk, and even the bathroom.

　　i work well with others.

　　my computer skills are exceptional.

　　i am proud of the articles i wrote and helped publish.

　　i am experienced!

　　applications: having a positive attitude and outlook is extremely important in the interview process. many applicants do poorly at the interview because they lack a positive attitude. many more, because they are nervous, forget their greatest achievements during the interview. don't be shy. tell the world about the good things you have accomplished. keep a positive attitude!

　　this activity will drill it into your brain (help you remember) that you are the best person for the job.

　　gordon: i guess getting a job is good motivation.

　　molly: plus, girls like guys who have jobs a little better. you need money to buy flowers, right?

　　gordon: i see your point. i guess it does pay to have a positive attitude.

　　molly: that's right, if you keep smiling and working hard, you will achieve all your goals.

　　gordon: even my secret goal of getting you to become my wife?

　　molly: no way. i guess there are some things that can't be changed by positive attitudes, but most other things can!
