　　众所周知，除排名前15位的美国大学有招生面试以外，对于中国高中生来讲，其他的美国大学的录取均取决于语言成绩和文书亮点的挖掘。现在美国本科的申请基本上“厮杀”于白纸黑字间，看哪一位申请者可以将自己平淡的校园生活和竞赛经历生动地写出来。而美国中学的申请则不然，不论文书写得多绚丽，个人宣传册做得多精美，一切都要凭真才实料把自己最闪耀的一面通过面试活生生地体现在招生老师的面前。因此，面试是美国学录取中最关键的环节，学生的表现如何将直接决定校方是否录取该生。

　　下面则从几个方面谈一下美国中学面试过程中应重点考察的几个方面和注意事项。

　　一、英语能力的考核

　　1. "What can you tell me about yourself?" This is not an invitation to give your life history. The interviewer is looking for clues about your character, qualifications, ambitions, and motivations. As a college student, I worked in a clothing store part-time and found that I could sell things easily. The sale was important, but for me, it was even more important to make sure that the customer was satisfied.
