第一篇：植物学花之于人
【原文】
植物学(Botany)，研究植物的学问，在人类的知识历史上占有特殊的地位。近千年来，人类对于许多领域的知识仅有非常模糊的'了解，只有植物学，人类对其了解还比较深入。植物是所有生物，甚至包括其他植物的食物金字塔的基础。一直以来，植物对人类的幸福安康就发挥着举足轻重的作用，不仅因为植物可以吃，而且还因为可以用来制作衣服、武器、工具、燃料、药品、住房，以及其他许多用途。

Botany, which is the study of plants, holds a special position in the history of human knowledge. For thousands of years, people only have a vague understanding of many fields. While as for botany, people have a deep understanding of it. Plants are the food basis of all living creatures in the food pyramid, including other plants. Plants have long been playing a crucial role in human well-being. Plants have many uses. They are edible. And they can also be used to make clothes, weapons, tools, fuel, drugs and houses.

几乎所有的白花都很香，越是颜色艳丽的花越是缺少芬芳。人也一样，越朴素单纯的人，越有内在的芬芳。早上是莲花开放做好的时候，如果一朵莲花早上不开，可能中午和晚上就都不会开了，人也一样，一个人在年轻的时候没有志气，中年或晚年也更难有志气了。每一株玫瑰都有刺，正如每一个人a的性格中都有你不能容忍的部分。爱护一朵玫瑰，并不需要把它的刺拔除，只要学会如何不被它刺伤就行。

Almost all white flowers smell very sweet. The more colorful the flower is, the less fragrant it smells. Like flowers, the simpler and purer a man is, the more inner fragrance he has. Lotus blooms best in the morning. If a lotus doesn’t bloom in the morning, it will impossibly bloom at noon and night. Like lotus, it’s more difficult for a young man without ambition to be ambitious in his middle age or old age. Roses are thorny. Human beings are alike. There must be some unbearable parts in one’s character. To love a rose, you don’t need to pull out its thorn, and you just need to learn how to avoid being hurt by its thorns.
第三篇：时间
【原文】
时间很难对付，既难控制又易浪费。当你向前看时，觉得有用不完的时间。比如说，学期伊始，你可能会觉得有大量的时间，可到期末时，突然发现时间就要用完了，已没有足够的时间去做应该做的一切了，于是，你就很担心。解决问题的方法是什么?那就是控制!时间很危险。如果你不控制它，它就要控制你;如果你不能让它服务于你，它便与你作对。因此，你必须成为时间的主人，而不是奴隶。

Time is tricky. It is difficult to control and easy to waste more time than you need. For example, at the beginning of a semester, you may feel that you have plenty of time on your hands. But toward the end of the term you may suddenly find that time is running out. You don’t have enough time to cover all your duties, so you get worried. What is the answer? Control! Time is dangerous. If you don’t control it, it will control you. If you don’t make it work for you, it will work against you. So you must become the master of time, not its servant.
