　　Byron, how sweetly sad thy melody!

　　拜伦!你唱得如此甜蜜而忧伤!

　　Attuning still the soul to tenderness,

　　你让人的心灵同柔情共鸣，

　　As if soft Pity, with unusual stress,

　　仿佛悲悯的善心以独特的'重音

　　Had touched her plaintive lute, and thou, being by,

　　弹奏痛苦的弦琴，而你在近旁，

　　Hadst caught the tones, nor suffered them to die.
