Having heard that there is a need for students of English major in your company, I’d like to render my services for the post you are offering.I am a 23-year-old undergraduate expecting to graduate by July 2007 from the Department of English, Central South University, with a bachelor degree majoring in English.
In the past three years, I have participated in several activities concerning the application of English. In July 2005 I used to work as an office assistant in an Import & Export Company for two weeks, during which I have done some translation and reception work that enabled me to learn a great deal which couldn't be taught in class. What's more, June 2006 saw my translation efforts made for the tender materials of English version of some construction companies. “久闻贵单位……”、“给我一个机会，还您一个惊喜”，类似这样的求职语往往会在大学生的求职信中出现。昨日，重庆得邦人力资源管理公司总经理朱源明说，这些明显带有学生味的语言往往会遭到考官的否定。
朱源明分析指出，不少用人单位都希望招到有一定社会实践经验的人才，并为之所用。这种学生腔语言就可能导致招考官对你社会实践能力的否定，失去成功的机会。他们认为此类语言还会显得很虚伪，“贵单位”是哪个“贵单位”?用人单位不喜欢这样的方式。另外，用人单位凭啥要给你机会，你怎样能给他惊喜?完全是一句空话。
当天填写日期
简历中的日期最好是参加招聘会当天填写，这样才显得有诚意。招聘会有一定的间隔时间上次简历上的日期肯定早已过期，就这样递给招聘单位，会显得自己没有诚意，有应付之嫌。
最好带上名片
在应聘时，最好带上事前印好的名片，在名片上写清自己的姓名、电话、E-MAIL，最好有一个个人网页。目的在于拿到对方出于礼节回复的名片，你就有再次和用人单位联系的机会，还可以补充自己的资料，加深对方对你的印象。个人网页上可以提供自己详细的资料，同时可以显示自己的计算机水平。
巧用自己经历
一些献过血的同学并没有将这一经历写进简历。而这些经历其实非常能打动用人单位，献过血能说明你有爱心，还能说明你身体健康，这比简历上任何描述自己健康和有爱心的语言都有说服力。
