Review of Unit4 He said he was hard-working.

教学目标
1.能力目标
(1) 培养学生说的能力,即如何用间接引语转述他人说过的话、完整描述故事片段以及谈论成绩单
(2)通过听力训练来培养学生如何找关键词的能力
(3)利用小组合作进行拓展训练,让学生通过互相提建议来培养学生用英语交际的能力
2.知识目标:
(1) 复习巩固本单元要求掌握的'单词及词组:ever, anymore, snack, suppose, hard-working, nervous, envelope, luckily, true, disappointing, lucky, copy, own, village, volunteer, area, decision, husband, start, influence, hometown, be mad at, surprise party, first of all, work out, be supposed to, do well in, be good at, get over, in good health, report card, open up
(2) 掌握并熟练运用本单元中的重要句型:
What did he/she say?
  He said he was having a surprise party for grandpa on Saturday night.
She asked her mom if she could study with friends at night.
I had a really hard time with math this semester.
It’s just that I find math really difficult.
What should he do?
He should work hard.
He said he likes being a good influence in the children’s lives.
3.情感策略、文化等有关目标:
让学生学会如何与同学合作共同完成任务,同时学会如何给他人提建议,并从他人的建议中更好的认识自己,了解自己,了解勤奋才能让自己的视野更宽阔,从而激发学习兴趣,提高学习成绩。
教学重难点
1. 教学重点:
(1)复习本单元的重点单词、词组
(2)掌握并熟练运用该单元中的重点句子
(3)复习如何直接引语改为间接引语,如何转述他人说过的话。
2. 教学难点:
复习如何正确表达间接引语,即直接引语改为间接引语时动词时态、人称、指示代词、时间状语等如何变化。

教学步骤
Step 1 Free talk
1.Greeting
T: Hello, everyone! Do you have a good time on weekends?
Ss: …
T: OK. Could you tell me what you usually do on weekends?
Ss: Yes./…
2. Brainstorm
1)“What do you usually do on weekends?”
Ask the Ss to talk about weekend activities.
2) “What kind of TV programs do you like best?”
Let the Ss talk about their favorite TV programs to review different kinds of TV programs.
At last , the teacher can say: “Do you want to know my favorite TV program?”
The Ss may answer: “Yes!”  T: “I like sitcoms best.”
Step 2 Story of Home With Kids
1. Look and say
1)Show the family picture of Home With Kids, ask the Ss “Who are they?”
2) Show pictures of Home with Kids. Ask Ss “What did Liu Xing/ Mom… say?”
Ss report what they said one by one by using reported speech.
2. Pairwork
 Let Ss ask and answer in pairs to review the reported speech.
3. Story telling
Show the pictures one by one again, ask some Ss to tell the whole story by using the reported speech.
Step 3 Xia Yu’s Report Card
1. Asking
While Father was asking Xia Yu where his report card was, the door bell rang.
The teacher can ask the following questions to review the words: an evenlope / nervous /report card.
1)Who is coming?
2)What did he bring?
3)How did Xia Yu feel?
2. Guessing
Show Xia Yu’s report card, let the Ss guess what the teachers said about Xia Yu
3. Listening
Play the tape. Ss listen for the key words and fill in the report card.
4. Talking
“What are Xia Yu’s problems?” Ask Ss to help Xia Yu find out his problems and give some advice to him with different structures. Then the teacher show some advice and let them read together.
Step 4 Xia Yu’s E-mail
1. Reading
Show Xia Yu’s e-mail to his mother with blanks, ask Ss to read it and help Xia Yu complete it using the words and phrases in this unit.
2. Checking
 Check the answers with Ss and ask them to read one by one
Step 5 Our problems
1. Group work
 Discuss the problems that Ss have in study in groups by asking and answering, then fill in the form on the paper.
2. Writing
Write a report about the discussion, show others the problems they have in study.
3. Reporting
Ask some groups to give the report.
Step 6 Homework
1.Write a letter to your parents to tell them about your study problems and what advice you have got from others.
2. Review the contents in Unit 4.
