2017考研英语状语从句难点连词辨析
作为考研英语中常考的三大从句之一，状语从句的考频很高，是考研英语各题型考查的重点。状语从句由从属连词引导，与主句连接，该连词直接表明主句和从句之间的逻辑关联。而常见的一些连词可引导不同的状语从句，这在一定程度上给考生理解文章带来了很大的困难，针对这个问题，对这一类连词进行以下梳理。
一、连词as引导状语从句
1、引导时间状语从句：as表示“当……时候”，“与……同时”，“随着”
例：As time goes on, he will understand what I said.
随着时间的推移，他会理解我所讲的`话。
2、引导让步状语从句：as表示“尽管/虽然”，且必须倒装，规则为：从句结尾的名词(不带冠词)、动词原形、形容词或者副词置于从句开头。
例：Much as I like you, I couldn’t live with you.
我尽管很喜欢你，却不能和你在一起生活。
3、引导原因状语从句：as表示“因为”，所表达的原因语气较弱。
例：As the weather is so bad, we have to delay our journey.
因为天气太糟糕，我们不得不推迟旅行。
4、引导方式状语从句：as表示“以……方式”，“像……一样”，“正如”。
例：I cook the dish as my mother does.
我像我妈妈那样烹饪这道菜。
二、连词since引导状语从句
1、引导时间状语从句：since表示“自从……以来”
例：It’s been years since I enjoyed myself so much as last night.
我已经好多年没有像昨晚那么痛快了。
2、引导原因状语从句：since表示“因为”，“既然”，表达说话者认为已成为事实的原因。
例：Since we’ve no money we can’t buy a new car.
因为我们没钱，我们不能买新汽车。
三、连词while引导状语从句
1、引导时间状语从句：while表示“与……同时;与此同时”，表明从句和主句的动作同时发生或进行，并且常有相反或者对比的语气。
例：While computers offer these conveniences to consumers, they have many advantages for sellers too.
电脑给消费者提供了这些便利的同时，对销售者而言也有很多好处。
2、引导让步状语从句：while表示“尽管”，“虽然”，义同although或though。
例：While I admit that there are problems, I don’t agree that they cannot be solved.
尽管我承认有问题存在，但我不同意说这些问题无法解决。
四、连词so that引导状语从句;与so…that进行区分
1、引导结果状语从句：so that表示“因此”，“以至于”。
例：Nothing more was heard from him so that we began to wonder if he was dead.
再也没听到他的消息，因此我们有些怀疑他是否死了。
2、引导目的状语从句：so that表示“为了”，“以便于”。
例：She worked hard so that everything would be ready by 6 o’clock.
她拼命干以便能到6点时把一切都准备好。
3、与so…that进行区分：so/ such...that...引导的结果状语从句：表示“如此……以至于……”
例：We get so used to looking at television that it begins to dominate our lives.
我们习惯于看电视，以至于电视开始支配我们的生活。

分析：
A. 分析句子结构。主句是被动结构，a variety of activities 是主语，be organized 是谓语;so that 引导目的状语从句，participants can remain active 是从句主句，as long as they want意思是“尽可能长时间地”。
B. 译文：应该组织各种各样的活动，以便于参与者能够尽可能长时间地保持活跃。
2. There are upsetting parallels today, as scientists in one wave after another try to awaken us to the growing threat of global warming. [2005, text 2]
分析：
A. 分析句子结构。该句的主句是There are upsetting parallels today，是 there be句型，主语是upsetting parallels;as scientists in one wave after … threat of global warming是as引导的时间状语从句，as表示“当/在……时候”，主语是scientists，谓语动词是try。
B. 译文：在科学家一次又一次努力使我们意识到日益增长的全球变暖威胁的时候，今天还有许多类似的令人不安的事情。
